Left (Top Left to Right Bottom): Sha Sha Sha . Sou . Shua. Pa. Ya. Right: Mm. So cooling!
Left (Top to Bottom) : PuTong Putong. Right: Let’s stomp hard! It’s bright red and cooling watermelon juice everywhere!
Just as last year, the Cloud Umbrellas and the Dark Cloud Showers from the Cloud seller remain as popular.
Wow! So cooling!
Slide! Here I come! Shua!

This is a visually intriguing book. I imagine the author staring into half a watermelon or eating it on a hot summer day and imagining himself soaking into the cool watermelon while conceiving the concept of this book. I love most the concept of selling the dark clouds as a before-and-after-shower point and the white clouds as shade while basking in the sun. It helps the kids to think out of the box of the daily things that we are so acquainted with. An extension activity of exploring various or alternative use of objects and things around us can be done with kids after reading the book to encourage kids to use their imagination.
